Biography

R. Clinton Webb, PhD, is a Professor at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina, United States. He received his doctoral degree from the University of Iowa. Dr. Webb's research focuses on vascular biology and the molecular mechanisms underlying hypertension, with particular emphasis on RhoA/Rho-kinase signaling pathways in vascular smooth muscle and endothelium. His most-cited work, "RhoA/Rho-Kinase Signaling in Vascular Smooth Muscle and Endothelium: Mechanistic Insights and Translational Implications in Hypertension" (2025), has made significant contributions to understanding the translational implications of these signaling mechanisms in cardiovascular disease.
