Editor Guidelines

Standards and expectations for the IJHA Editorial Board.

Shaping the Future of Anatomical Research

Editors play a pivotal role in maintaining the scientific rigor and ethical integrity of IJHA.

Editors are responsible for the fair and timely evaluation of all submissions within their domain of anatomical expertise.

Core Responsibilities
  • Evaluate assigned manuscripts for scientific quality and anatomical merit
  • Select and invite qualified peer reviewers for assigned submissions
  • Ensure conflicts of interest are identified and managed
  • Provide constructive, fair, and timely editorial decisions
  • Uphold confidentiality of all manuscript information
  • Adhere to COPE guidelines for publication ethics
Editorial Process

Upon receiving an assignment, editors should perform initial evaluation to confirm alignment with IJHA's scope. If suitable, identify at least two independent reviewers, monitor the review timeline, and synthesize feedback into an editorial recommendation.

  • Follow up with reviewers if reviews are delayed
  • Communicate professionally with authors
