Editorial Screening
Within 3 days, an editor will review your manuscript for scope fit, completeness, and adherence to submission guidelines. Manuscripts that do not fit the journal's focus on dermatologic research and therapy will be returned with suggestions for more appropriate venues.
Peer Review Process
If your manuscript passes initial screening, it will be sent to 2-3 expert reviewers with specialized knowledge in your research area. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise in specific aspects of dermatology, including mechanistic research, translational studies, clinical applications, or therapeutic development.
Decision Outcomes
Based on reviewer feedback, the editor will make one of four decisions:
