Biography

Peibo Li is affiliated with Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou, Guangdong, China, where he received his education at 中山大学. His research focuses on bioactive components in traditional Chinese medicine, including investigations of herbal formulas such as Dan-hong injection, Kouyanqing Granule, and Naoshuantong capsule, with emphasis on anti-inflammatory effects, blood circulation promotion, and cerebral energy metabolism. He has contributed to studies examining the therapeutic mechanisms of natural compounds, particularly naringenin and naringin, in respiratory conditions including cough-variant asthma and acute lung injury. His work employs advanced analytical techniques such as UFLC-DAD-Q-TOF-MS/MS and HPLC fingerprinting to establish relevance between chemical profiles and in vivo biological effects, advancing scientific understanding of traditional Chinese medicine efficacy and prescription compatibility.
