Overview

Reproductive health issues encompass the range of conditions and concerns that affect the reproductive system and a woman's capacity for healthy reproduction across the life course. They include menstrual disorders, gynecological and sexually transmitted infections, fertility difficulties, complications of pregnancy and childbirth, and conditions associated with adolescence and menopause. Maintaining reproductive health depends on access to accurate information, preventive care, screening, and timely medical attention, as well as on social and educational factors that shape knowledge and behavior. Addressing these issues is central to women's overall health and wellbeing. Research in this field frequently focuses on knowledge, education, and access to care, particularly among adolescents and underserved populations. Work published by the journal includes studies on knowledge and practice of preconception care among women of reproductive age in Nepal, and several investigations of parent–adolescent and parent–child communication on sexual and reproductive health matters in Ethiopia and Nepal and their associated factors. Additional research has examined factors influencing teenage pregnancy among in-school adolescents in Nigeria, highlighting the role of education and communication in preventing reproductive health problems. This page gathers peer-reviewed, open-access research relevant to Women's Reproductive Health issues and the preventive, educational, and clinical approaches used to address them.
