Overview

Environmental and Resource Science is an interdisciplinary field that studies the interactions between environmental systems and the resources we depend on for our lives. It examines the physical, chemical, and biological components of the environment, and the extent to which these components are affected by human activities. Environmental and Resource Science combines knowledge from ecology, geology, biology, physics, economics, and other disciplines to understand how resources are produced and managed, and how humans interact with and affect the environment. The findings of Environmental and Resource Science are used to develop effective policies and practices to ensure the sustainability of our environment and resources.
