Overview

Spine disorders are medical conditions that affect the vertebrae in the spine, as well as the tissues, joints and discs that connect them. These disorders can cause pain, disability, limited range of motion and impaired nerve functioning. Early diagnosis and treatment is critical to slowing the progress of spine disorders and reducing the risk of long-term complications. Treatment options include medications, physical therapy, exercise, and surgery. While spine disorders can disrupt the daily lives of sufferers, with proper medical care a vast majority of patients can live full and productive lives.
