Overview

Protein networks and pathways are complex structures that coordinate the activities of proteins within cells, allowing them to communicate and interact to regulate a range of cellular functions. These interactions are critical for the health and survival of cells, as they control the decoding of genetic information, the transfer of energy, and the development of tissue. Scientists study protein networks and pathways in order to identify new targets for drug discovery, to better understand the underlying causes of diseases, and to develop potential treatments. It is an essential area of research for biomedical science and its applications have already been used to make significant advancements in the way we diagnose and treat a range of diseases.
