Biography
Dr. Badia Malla Obaida is an Assistant Professor at the University of Mosul in Mosul, Iraq, where she also completed her education. Her research focuses on microbial genetics and mutagenesis, with particular emphasis on the effects of chemical mutagens on yeast organisms. Her most-cited publication, "Mutation Effect of Chemical Mutagen Ethymthane sulfonate (EMS) on Some Local Yeasts" (2020), examines the mutagenic impacts of ethyl methanesulfonate on indigenous yeast strains, contributing to the understanding of genetic variation and mutation mechanisms in microbial systems.
