Biography
Malgorzata Mikaszewska-Sokolewicz is affiliated with the Children's Memorial Health Institute in Warsaw, Poland. Her research encompasses a broad range of critical care and clinical topics, including severe poisoning and toxicology, ventilator-associated pneumonia, septic shock, bloodstream infections, and the molecular diagnostics of infection in critically ill patients. She has contributed to studies on immune markers such as HLA-DR and CD64 in sepsis, the role of NT-proCNP as a biomarker in cerebrospinal fluid and reproductive health, and the impact of nutritional status on outcomes in intensive care settings. Her most-cited publication examines the use of antidepressants, benzodiazepines, and hypnotics in pain clinic patients treated for neuropathic pain (2022).
