Overview
Safety engineering is the systematic application of engineering principles and methods to identify, assess, and control hazards in order to prevent accidents, injuries, and adverse health outcomes in occupational and environmental settings. Research published in the International Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine addresses safety engineering through investigations of workplace training interventions designed to reduce injury risks and improve community health outcomes, as well as assessments of public safety risks associated with industrial infrastructure such as wind energy installations.
