Industrial relations refers to the relationship between employers, employees, and the union that represents the interests of the employees. Industrial relations also includes laws, regulations, and policies that govern employment relationships and collective bargaining. Industrial relations can have a major impact on both employers' ability to be profitable and employees' ability to have job security. Additionally, it ensures fair wages, workplace safety, and non-discriminatory hiring practices.
