Precision Chemotherapy

Precision chemotherapy is a cancer treatment approach that uses drugs to target specific molecular characteristics of a tumor. It is enabled by the characterization of each tumor's molecular make-up, including the presence of certain genetic mutations or other biological features. This approach has the potential to alleviate side effects of chemotherapy while improving the efficacy of treatments by targeting only cancerous cells. This is especially beneficial for those with slow-growing, advanced, or recurrent cancers that are resistant to traditional chemotherapy regimens. By utilizing precision chemotherapy, patients can have a better chance of survival, improved quality of life, and fewer treatment-related complications.
