Peripheral T-cell Lymphoma

Peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL) is a rare cancer of the lymphatic system caused by T-cells, a type of white blood cells. It is not related to Hodgkin lymphoma, which is a cancer of lymphocytes (B-cells). PTCL can be classified into many subtypes and has different prognoses depending on type, staging, and other features. Its symptoms may include feeling tired, enlarged lymph nodes, enlarged spleen, fever, and weight loss. Treatment usually involves chemotherapy and radiation therapy. With the development of new therapies, early detection and better management, the prognosis of PTCL is improving.
