Overview
Cardiovascular analysis encompasses the systematic evaluation of heart and blood vessel function, structure, and disease risk through clinical, laboratory, and imaging methods. Research published in this journal addresses diverse dimensions of cardiovascular assessment, including the examination of risk factors in vulnerable populations such as elderly individuals with diabetes and patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis, where metabolic disturbances intersect with cardiovascular health. Studies have explored predictive capacity of activity measurements in congenital heart disease populations and investigated vascular changes such as carotid artery intima-media thickness in relation to reproductive factors. The journal has published work on emerging diagnostic tools, including microRNAs as potential biomarkers for hypertension and acoustic cardiography for ambulatory cardiac monitoring and sleep-disordered breathing detection. Additional contributions examine structural vascular pathology through epidemiological and imaging studies of abdominal aortic aneurysms, as well as experimental approaches using cell-line models to assess cardiac function parameters. This body of work reflects the multifaceted nature of cardiovascular analysis, spanning population health, novel biomarkers, non-invasive monitoring technologies, and cellular mechanisms, all contributing to improved understanding of cardiovascular disease detection, risk stratification, and potential therapeutic targets.
