Biography
Dr. Giribabu Nelli is a Senior Lecturer at Universiti Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where he conducts research in reproductive physiology, diabetes mellitus, and natural products. He earned his PhD from Sri Venkateswara University and has established a significant body of work examining the therapeutic potential of plant-derived compounds in metabolic and reproductive disorders. His research portfolio includes investigations into the antidiabetic and protective effects of natural extracts such as α-mangostin, Phyllanthus niruri, Chlorophytum borivilianum, and Vitis vinifera on oxidative stress, inflammation, and organ function in experimental diabetes models. His most-cited publication, "Phytochemical profile and antimicrobial activity of Jatropha curcas extracts against oral microorganisms" (2024), reflects his broader interest in the bioactive properties of medicinal plants.
