Overview

Energy Conservation policies are government regulations to reduce energy consumption and promote energy efficiency. They are important for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and helping countries meet their commitments under the Paris Agreement on climate change. Energy Conservation policies can be used to incentivize energy efficiency investments, such as energy efficiency standards for appliances, energy labeling requirements, energy efficiency tax credits, and energy performance contracting. They can also encourage the development and use of cleaner energy sources and the deployment of energy efficiency technologies. These policies have a positive effect on the environment, economy, and public health.
