Overview

Dermatology is the medical specialty concerned with the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and disorders of the skin, nails and hair. Dermatologic Pathology is a subspecialty of Dermatology that focuses on the study of skin tissues in order to diagnose and treat diseases of the skin. It is a critical component of any successful dermatology practice and is invaluable in the early detection, differentiation and management of skin diseases. Dermatologic Pathology involves the analysis of skin biopsies, microscopic evaluation of skin cells and analysis of the tissue architecture to diagnose various disorders.
