Biomedical sciences are a group of disciplines that apply the principles of biology, chemistry, and physiology to the study of human health and disease. The field encompasses areas such as genetics, microbiology, biochemistry, pharmacology, immunology, and physiology, and it seeks to understand the molecular, cellular, and systemic processes that underlie normal function and illness.
