Biography
Dr. Youlian Pan is a Research Officer at the National Research Council Canada in Ottawa, Ontario, where he conducts research in Big Data Analytics, Machine Learning, AI, Environmental Science, and Marine Pollution. He holds a PhD and received his education from Dalhousie University, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Ocean University of China. Dr. Pan has authored over 16 indexed publications, including his most-cited work, "Vascular contributions to 16p11.2 deletion autism syndrome modeled in mice" (2020), which has been cited 103 times. His distinguished career has been recognized through numerous awards, including the Outstanding Research Achievement Award from NRC-IIT (2009), the General Research Achievement Award from NRC-IIT (2005), postdoctoral fellowships from NRC-NSERC and NSERC (1996–1998), graduate scholarships from Dalhousie University (1989–1994) and the Chinese Academy of Sciences (1982–1985), and four Annual Excellent Student Awards from Shandong College of Oceanology (1979–1982).
