Overview
(ADHD) Adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a mental health disorder which affects adults, typically leading to difficulty with concentrating, managing emotions, and making decisions. Symptoms of ADHD may include restlessness, impulsiveness, and procrastination. ADHD can significantly interfere with adults' ability to function in their daily lives and has a heavy economic and social toll. The disorder can be treated with psychotherapy, lifestyle changes, medication, and in some cases, alternative treatments. Improving the diagnosis and treatment of adults with ADHD is crucial, as it can greatly improve quality of life while reducing the burden of this disorder on society.
